Crystal Lavallee is the Founder and National Director of I Am Compelled, a registered educational charity, engaging students in Canadian history and heritage and inspiring them to be change-makers! Through the use of theater, media and music, past heroes are brought to life and untold stories are shared, to encourage harmony and champion diversity! Crystal and her team, have traveled to over 20 Indigenous communities across Turtle Island, igniting hope among youth struggling with suicide.

As a passionate Metis-Greek Canadian, Crystal believes she was put on this planet to help 'bridge the gaps' in understanding Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. November 2017, Crystal added to her portfolio, Creator and Producer of First Peoples Voices, a weekly story segment on YES TV. She also gained the title of Executive Producer for a brand new Television series called Across The Land, which she co-hosted on location at significant historic sites, nationally.

When she's not changing the world, Crystal enjoys rollerblading, bike riding, swimming and reading great books that make her think! One of her favorite quotes is from the Māori people of New Zealand, "He who stands lives; he who sits perishes." It is an honour to be with your group today!
