    The Town of Newmarket has a history of environmentally friendly initiatives. From becoming the 14thBee City in Canada, to installing solar panels and upgrading to LED lights at many of our facilities, we continue to do our part to mitigate and adapt to a changing climate. Several projects related to the environment have been in the works, and we're excited to share information with you and gather feedback.

    Newmarket residents are invited to a public meeting to learn more about several key environmental initiatives, including:

    • Community Energy Plan Update
    • Corporate Green Fleet Strategy
    • Green Development Standards

    Public Meeting Details

    When: Thursday, October 16 from 7 to 8 p.m. (drop in). 

    Where: Municipal Offices, inside the Council Chambers (395 Mulock Drive).
