The campaign period for the 2016 Ward 5 By-election ends on December 1, 2016.
All candidates are required to file a campaign financial statement by 2 p.m. on January 3, 2017.
Candidates wishing to extend their campaign period due to a deficit must file a notice with the Legislative Services Department before 2 p.m. on December 1, 2016.
Section 88.23(9) of the Municipal Elections Act now allows a candidate to file their financial statement with no default and with a late filing fee of $500 by no later than 2 p.m. on the day that is 30 days after the filing date (by 2 p.m. on February 2, 2017).
