The Mabel Davis Conservation Area is located between the Tannery Mall on Davis Drive and Bayview Parkway in the Town of Newmarket.

Mabel Davis was a resident of Newmarket who donated the land to the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority in 1969.

The area consists of seven hectares of parkland, trails and waterways. Trails run on the east and west sides of the East Holland River where cyclists and hikers can enjoy a natural setting and spot a variety of wildlife such as birds, rabbits and muskrats. There are several rest stops with benches offering rustic views throughout the area.

Parking is available near entry points at:

  • George Richardson Park on Bayview Parkway
  • The Tannery on Davis Drive

The 1,400 metres of trails in the Mabel Davis Conservation Area are part of a larger system, the Nokiidaa Trail, connecting it to other conservation areas in Newmarket and the Towns of East Gwillimbury and Aurora.
