We are excited about this new opportunity to assist you the volunteer with registering for a number of opportunities within your community. This system will allow us to send out information to you electronically, more efficiently and in a timely manner. This system will also assist you in tracking the number of hours, when you are scheduled and lists many other interesting features.

Summer Camps
Interested in building your experience for future employment? Want to make a difference in your community? Looking to help make summer camp a fun an inclusive place for all? The Town of Newmarket has a free Summer Camp Volunteer Training for youth looking to gain experience working with children and developing their leadership skills!

Successful candidates will be contacted regarding their one-week camp placement following the course and can use these hours towards their high school volunteer hours! Successful candidates are those that are actively listening and engaged during the entirety of the course, respectful towards other participants and the instructor, and show an interest in the volunteer position. Please come to class with the Volunteer Application filled out. This will be sent to participants prior to the course via email.
Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older by the start of the course.
Recreation Youth Centre and telMAX Indoor Skate Park
The Town of Newmarket has a volunteer program for youth looking to gain experience working with children and developing their leadership skills. Volunteers are on-site at the Recreation Youth Centre, are not included in program ratios, and volunteer their time to provide staff with extra support throughout the session.
