Each year, the Town of Newmarket Road Improvements Program undertakes road works to improve the ride quality of the road and to improve drainage. The scope of work includes adjustments and/or replacements to some driveway culverts; cleaning out of the existing culverts identified as staying; ditching, as required, to restore drainage in the ditches; overlaying the existing road with a new life of asphalt; regrading the shoulders to meet the new edge of road; and line painting.
During this project you may have a delay accessing your driveway during the day(s) of paving. Please speak with the staff on-site if you need access or egress from your driveway and they will kindly assist you. You may experience a 5-10 minute delay in this situation until the operation passes by your property.
This program includes a large number of streets so the exact timing of these works are unknown at this time, but it will be completed within the next 6-8 weeks. If you are impacted, you will receive a notice in the mail.
