Platinum AVA Digital Award: Stormwater Charge Motion Graphics Video

The Town of Newmarket was awarded a Platinum AVA Digital Award for its Stormwater Charge video in the Motion Graphics Explanation category. AVA Digital Awards is an international competition that recognizes excellence by creative professionals responsible for planning, concept, direction, design and production of digital communication. Newmarket's HollisWealth Story Pod was among the 10 winners selected from over 140 submissions as the winner of the Design Excellence by the Ontario Association of Architects.
The OAA Awards offer the Ontario architectural profession an annual opportunity to present their work to the public and to a professional audience, demonstrating the excellence of both individual award winners and the profession as a whole and fostering a greater appreciation of architecture and architects in the public realm.

The Town of Newmarket was selected as the 2016 Winner of the Roger Brown Award for its excellence during the May 2016 National Public Works Week. The award will be officially presented to the Town of Newmarket at the 2017 National Public Works Week Annual Kick-Offi event on May 18, 2017.

Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA) Healthy Water Award

The Town of Newmarket received the LSRCA Health Water Award for its innovative work in implementing Low Impact Development throughout the Town. The Healthy Water Award is presented to individuals and groups who have completed a project that improves, supports or protects the water quality in the Lake Simcoe watershed. Projects could include stormwater management, water conservation, streambank and shoreline restoration or stabilization, low impact development techniques and source water protection.
