Join us July 1, 2024 for our annual Tim Hortons Canada Day Festival featuring:
- Live concerts at Riverwalk Commons
- Food vendors including a licensed area and BBQ managed by the North Newmarket Lions Club
- Rides on the Tim Hortons Express Train

Road Closures
Monday, July 1, 2024:
Main Street will be closed from Water Street to Queen Street from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Timothy Street will be closed from Main Street to Doug Duncan Drive from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. (also closes Cedar Street)
Please note some parking spaces will be closed in preparation for the event starting on Sunday, June 30, 2024 in the following locations:

Evening Concert & Fireworks

Participants attending the dayime concert & festival will have the opportunity to complete and submit a ballot (while ballot quantities last) for a chance to WIN one (1) Coffee for a Year prize, presented by Tim Hortons.

- The prize must be accepted as is, and may not be exchanged. No substitutions will be allowed. All ten (10) $100 Tim Hortons gift card(s) with a value of $1000, cannot be exchanged and/or substituted for any cash value.

As part of the Corporation of the Town of Newmarket's Canada Day Event & Fireworks, and it's partnership with Tim Hortons, Tim Hortons is providing 500 eligible attendees the chance to win ten (10) $100 Tim Hortons gift card(s) for a total value of $1,000 ("Tim Hortons Coffee for a Year").
CONTEST ELIGIBILITY
The Town of Newmarket has full discretion in applying the following criteria in awarding the ten (10) $100 Tim Hortons gift card(s) for a total value of $1,000 ("Tim Hortons Coffee for a Year"). ("Tim Hortons Coffee for a Year").
- Participants must be 18 years of age or older as of July 1, 2024.
- The 500 attendees who complete and submit a Tim Hortons ballot to a Town of Newmarket staff member on July 1, 2024 will be formally entered into the random draw.
- Only one entry may be completed and submitted by an attendee.
- To win, participants must be Newmarket residents.
- Employees of the Town of Newmarket and their consultants and consultant subcontractors are not eligible.
PRIZE:
- Ten (10) $100 Tim Hortons gift card(s) for a total value of $1,000 ("Tim Hortons Coffee for a Year"). ("Tim Hortons Coffee for a Year").
- The prize must be claimed within two weeks (14 days) of the Town of Newmarket's initial contact to the winner. Failure to claim a prize will result in a redraw where a Town of Newmarket staff will randomly draw another attendee as winner on day 15.
PROCEDURE FOR AWARDING PRIZE(S)
- Town of Newmarket staff will contact the winner to notify them of their prize during the week of July 1, 2024.
- The winner will accept their prize at a Tim Hortons restaurant located in Newmarket, at a date, time and specific Tim Hortons restaurant location pre-arranged by Tim Hortons, a Town of Newmarket staff and the prize winner.
- In order to claim the prize, the winner must participate in a photo at the time the winner claims their prize, for Tim Hortons and Town of Newmarket marketing purposes.
- When accepting their prize, the winner must answer a skill-testing question and show valid photo ID.
- If the winning attendee is determined to be under the age of 18, the prize will be awarded to the attendee's parent(s) or legal guardian who must answer the skill testing questions and show valid photo ID.
GENERAL RULES
- By participating in this contest, attendees consent to the use of their name, voice, resemblance, photograph and/or image without compensation, whether online, in print, or in any other media, in connection with contest publicity and/or any aspect of the Town of Newmarket and Tim Hortons. Participants waive all rights, including moral rights, in this respect.
- By entering, attendees release and hold harmless Tim Hortons and the Town of Newmarket and their officers, employees, council members and agents from any and all liability, claims, and actions of any kind arising from or in connection with the contest or any prize won.
- The prize must be accepted as is, and may not be exchanged. No substitutions will be allowed. All ten (10) $100 gift card(s) for a total value of $1,000, cannot be exchanged and/or substituted for any cash value.
- For the random draw, the Town of Newmarket staff will randomly select a winning ballot from the total ballots collected. The Town of Newmarket shall assume no liability for losses, delays, errors, malfunction, damage or any other issue that may occur during collection, retention or processing of the ballots.
- The Town of Newmarket reserves the right to withdraw, terminate, amend or suspend this contest at any time without notice. The published contest schedule and rules are subject to change at any time and without notice.
- The Town of Newmarket reserves the right to disqualify from this contest and any future contests or other promotions conducted by the Town of Newmarket, any individual that they find or believe to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest, to be acting in violation of the official rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
- Any contact information, such as phone number or email address, will not be kept on file or shared, and will be used solely for the purpose of contacting participants who have won the prize.
- Participation in this draw includes acceptance of these rules, which will be applied by Tim Hortons and the Town of Newmarket. All decisions are final.

Photo & Video Release
Media and Town of Newmarket staff will be taking photos and video footage at Town of Newmarket Special Events. These images may be used, re-used and published in news stories, social media and on websites, in addition to distributed to our event partners.
