Public Consultation Session #1 (October 19, 2017)
Public Consultation Session #1 consisted of a guided walking tour of the Old Main Street neighbourhood. Residents were invited to share their knowledge with Town staff and the consultant team. Residents were asked to fill in comment cards during the walk. Findings informed the preparation of the Background Reports and the Draft Tertiary Plan.
The Summary Report provides a synopsis of the comments received at the walking tour and by telephone and email afterwards up until November 10, 2017.
Public Consultation Session #2 (April 12, 2018)
Public Consultation Session #2 consisted of a presentation and workshop. Participants were asked to provide feedback on the draft vision, guiding principles, and land use concepts. Findings have informed the preparation of the Draft Tertiary Plan. The presentation, display boards, and worksheets are available for reference.

Public Consultation Session #3 (November 5, 2018)
Public Consultation Session #3 was the public open house, required to be held in advance of a Statutory Public Meeting. Participants had the opportunity to review the Draft Tertiary Plan policies and offer comments. Members of the public were invited to attend the open house on Monday November 5, 2018 from 7 to 9pm at the Senior's Meeting Place (474 Davis Drive). The Open House was a drop in format and there was a brief presentation. There were presentation boards on display showing highlights of the Draft Plan and policies.
Public Consultation Session #4 (February 4, 2019)
Public Consultation Session #4 is the Statutory Public Meeting required in accordance with the Planning Act. As per the Notice, the Public Meeting was held on Monday February 4th, 2019 at 7pm in Council Chambers at Town Hall, 395 Mulock Drive. The

The statutory Public Meeting was a formal meeting with Council where participants offered comments to Council on the Tertiary Plan. Written or oral submissions must be made prior to, or at, the Public Meeting, if not you may not be entitled to appeal the decision to the Local Appeal Tribunal. You may also not be added as a party to the hearing of a Local Appeal Board appeal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there is reasonable grounds to do so.
The Teritary Plan underwent some changes since the version presented at the Open House. The list of changes is available below.
Changes:
- Removing permission for detached accessory dwelling units (i.e. granny flats)
- Adding permissions for a condominium road and second "row" of development, pending detailed Natural Heritage Studies.
- Incorporating suggestions from Region which include adding wording addressing Recharge Management Area, Live-work Opportunities (S. 3.3.4.i), Sustainable buildings (S.3.3.2), FSR requirements (S.5.3.2.ii) and Source Water Protection (S.3.3.3ii).
- Incorporating suggestions from LSRCA which include adding wording addressing new Phosphorus and Ecological Offsetting Policies (revised S.5.3.4 & S.8.3.1), Source Water Protection (S.3.3.3), Flood Plain Management (S.8.3.3), encouraging LID (S.4.3.1) and Sustainability and Climate Change (S.3.3.2).
